Two teenagers sustain injuries from Israeli army gunfire near Ramallah

RAMALLAH, March 7, 2025 (WAFA) – Two Palestinian teenagers Friday sustained injuries from Israeli army gunfire in Ni'lin town, west of the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah, according to WAFA correspondent.

He said that Israeli occupation forces barged their way into the town, triggering confrontations.

The gun-toting soldiers fired live ammunition and tear gas canisters, injuring two teenagers, aged 16 and 17, with live rounds in their lower extremities and causing others to suffocate from excessive tear gas inhalation.

The two casualties were rushed to a nearby emergency center for treatment.

The correspondent added that the soldiers rounded up a minor and set up a checkpoint to the north of the town, stopping Palestinian-registered vehicles, checking passengers’ identity cards, and causing a huge traffic jam.

The occupation forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost daily across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for “wanted” Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.

These raids are conducted without a search warrant whenever and wherever the military chooses, in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers.

Under Israeli military law army commanders have full executive, legislative, and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank. Palestinians have no say in how this authority is exercised.
