Israeli forces shoot Palestinian west of Ramallah

RAMALLAH, March 3, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces Monday evening shot and injured a Palestinian in Shuqba town, west of the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah, according to local sources.

They said that the occupying forces barged their way into the town and opened gunfire at Abdul-Rahman Thabet, while driving his motorbike, injuring him in the abdomen.

Thabet, 17, was rushed to a hospital for urgent treatment.

The sources added that the heavily armed soldiers opened fire at Thabet and beat him up although there were no confrontations.

The occupation forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost daily across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for “wanted” Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.

These raids are conducted without a search warrant whenever and wherever the military chooses, in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers.

Under Israeli military law army commanders have full executive, legislative, and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank. Palestinians have no say in how this authority is exercised.
