Israeli forces tighten restrictions on movement around Nablus

NABLUS, February 28, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces have intensified their restrictions at checkpoints surrounding the city of Nablus since Friday morning, local sources reported.

According to the sources, Israeli forces continue to enforce strict measures at multiple checkpoints in the area, conducting thorough inspections of vehicles and checking citizens' identification.

Additionally, Israeli forces closed the Sarra checkpoint west of Nablus, preventing entry and exit through the area earlier today.

Over the past few days, they have also set up two additional checkpoints—one on the Al-Badhan-Nablus road and another on the road leading to the town of Asira ash-Shamaliya north of the city—where they continue to inspect vehicles and scrutinize residents' IDs.

Reports indicate that Israeli forces have recently erected a total of 10 checkpoints around Nablus, installed more than 38 metal gates, and blocked access to approximately 47 areas using dirt mounds.
