RAMALLAH, February 27, 2025 (WAFA) – A Palestinian youth was shot and injured by Israeli occupation forces on Thursday evening during an Israeli military incursion into the town of Beit Rima, north of Ramallah. 

WAFA correspondent reported that Israeli troops opened fire on the young man, hitting him in the leg with live ammunition. He was detained for a short period before being handed over to a Palestinian ambulance for medical treatment.

Confrontations erupted following the Israeli military raid on the town, during which soldiers stormed the homes of recently released Palestinian detainees—Tamer Rimawi, Waleem Rimawi, and Omar Samir Rimawi. The three were freed earlier in the day and deported to Egypt as part of the seventh batch of the exchange deal under the Gaza ceasefire agreement.

Israeli forces also ordered shop owners in the town center to shut down their businesses during the raid.
