LA PAZ, January 29, 2025 (WAFA) – The Plurinational State of Bolivia reaffirmed today its unwavering solidarity and support for the Palestinian people and their inalienable right to self-determination, condemning any attempt to forcibly displace them from their homeland.
In a statement, the Bolivian Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that the proposed forced displacement, coupled with the deprivation of Palestinian national identity and fundamental human rights, constitutes a grave violation of international law, specifically the Fourth Geneva Convention.
These actions, the statement declared, are tantamount to war crimes and crimes against humanity.
Furthermore, the Ministry asserted that these actions are part of a systematic strategy aimed at forcibly uprooting the Palestinian people from their homeland and consolidating the power of the occupying authorities.
Such actions, the Ministry stressed, effectively undermine any prospects for a peaceful and just resolution to the conflict.
It reiterated the Bolivian government’s unwavering support for the Palestinian people in their resolute resistance to remain on their homeland and defend their legitimate rights.
Bolivia reaffirmed its unwavering commitment and absolute recognition of the State of Palestine, with East Jerusalem as its capital, the statement said, adding that Bolivia will continue to support the Palestinian people's struggle to determine their own destiny and live in peace and dignity.
