Egypt dispatches largest humanitarian aid convoy to Gaza

CAIRO, January 26, 2025 (WAFA) – Egyptian Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouly launched today the largest comprehensive humanitarian aid convoy for the people of the Gaza Strip.

Under the slogan "We Partner for Humanity", the aid convoy included 305 trucks loaded with tons of goods and humanitarian aid estimated at 4,200 tons of food and humanitarian aid, and 11 equipped ambulances.

The Egyptian aid trucks include medical equipment and supplies, medicines and ambulances, huge quantities of dry and canned food, clothes, blankets, milk and baby food.

Madbouly stressed his country's pivotal and pioneering role towards the countries of the region that are witnessing crises, especially the Arab countries, mainly the people in the Gaza Strip.

He explained that this is the fifth convoy run by the "Long Live Egypt" Fund and civil society institutions to provide aid and relief to the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

The Executive Director of the "Long Live Egypt" Fund, Tamer Abdel Fattah, confirmed that the convoy included medical equipment, supplies and essential medicines to supply Palestinian hospitals.

He emphasized the importance of ensuring continuous medical care for the population in light of the critical humanitarian situation they are enduring.
