WASHINGTON, January 20, 2025 (WAFA) – US President Donald Trump has rescinded an executive order issued by his predecessor Joe Biden that imposed sanctions on Israeli colonists involved in violence in the West Bank, the White House announced.
Trump tonight rescinded the executive order signed by Biden in February 2024, which paved the way for the inclusion of several colonists and groups accused of committing violence against Palestinians in the Israeli-occupied West Bank on US blacklists.
The new White House website stated that Trump rescinded Executive Order No. 14115 issued on February 1, 2024.
The sanctions included about 60,000 colonists who hold US citizenship, because the sanctions included a clause freezing all their assets in the United States, and the sanctions also prohibited doing business with the sanctioned entities.
