Prime Minister Mustafa meets Jordanian Foreign Minister to discuss developments in Palestine

AMMAN, January 13, 2025 (WAFA) – Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammad Mustafa met today with Jordan's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates in the Jordanian capital, Amman.

During the meeting, Mustafa and Safadi discussed the latest developments in Palestine, focusing on coordinating efforts in international forums to halt aggression against the Palestinian people in Gaza and address the violations by Israeli forces and settlers in the West Bank, including Jerusalem.

The two officials emphasized the deep historical and fraternal ties between Palestine and Jordan, reiterating their commitment to joint efforts aimed at achieving the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, ending the occupation, and establishing an independent state.

Prime Minister Mustafa expressed his appreciation for Jordan's historical stance and the significant efforts led by King Abdullah II in supporting the Palestinian people and their cause.

He stressed that Jordan remains Palestine's closest ally and steadfast supporter in the pursuit of Palestinian rights.

Meantime, Safadi reaffirmed that the establishment of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, based on the two-state solution, is the only path to achieving peace.

He noted that this goal remains a top priority for King Abdullah II, who continues to dedicate all of Jordan’s resources to its realization.
