GENEVA, November 22, 2024 (WAFA) - Slovenia confirmed on Friday its commitment to fully comply with the arrest warrants issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC) for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.
Slovenian Prime Minister, Robert Golob, affirmed that Slovenia upholds the International Criminal Court's ruling regarding Netanyahu and Gallant, due to the war crimes and crimes against humanity committed in the Gaza Strip.
Switzerland also announced that it is bound to arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant if they enter the country, in compliance with the arrest warrants issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC).
In response to a journalist's question regarding Switzerland's position on the International Criminal Court's decision, Ingrid Reiser, spokesperson for the Swiss Federal Department of Justice and Police, stated that Switzerland ratified the Rome Statute, which serves as the legal foundation for the ICC, in 2001. She reaffirmed Switzerland's support for the court, emphasizing its independence and its work to combat impunity.
