RAMALLAH, November, 18, 2024 (WAFA) – Malaysia and Brazil stressed the urgent need to implement an immediate and permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

This came during a meeting between Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva and Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, today, Monday, in Rio de Janeiro.

The two officials called on the occupation authorities to ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip without any restrictions or delay.

They also renewed their support for the establishment of an independent and sovereign State of Palestine, with East Jerusalem as its capital on the 1967 borders, as well as Palestine's full membership in the United Nations.
