MADRID, November, 18, 2024 (WAFA) – Spain condemned on Monday Israel's attacks on the Lebanese capital Beirut and the Gaza Strip, renewing its calls for a ceasefire.

Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares, in a statement published on X indicated that dozens of people were killed as a result of Israeli bomb attacks on Beirut and Gaza.

He expressed his condemnation of the Israeli attacks, stressing the need to stop the destruction and killing in the Middle East, and said, "We demand a ceasefire and compliance with international law."

The Spanish Foreign Minister indicated that his country "always supports peace and the protection of civilians."
