BETHLEHEM, November 17, 2024 (WAFA) – Several female students suffered from suffocation this morning after Israeli occupation forces raided the town of al-Khadr, south of Bethlehem, and targeted a local school with tear gas. The attack took place as students were arriving at Al-Khadr Elementary School.
According to the Directorate of Education in Bethlehem, Israeli soldiers fired toxic gas canisters directly at the students as they were entering the school grounds, causing several of them to experience breathing difficulties and symptoms of suffocation.
This incident is part of a troubling escalation in Israeli military assaults targeting schools in the area. In recent weeks, Israeli forces have increased their attacks on the al-Khadr school complex, using tear gas and stun grenades.
Several students and teachers have been injured in these incidents, and others have been detained by Israeli forces during the raids.
