Israeli colonists and forces prevent farmers from harvesting olives in Salfit

SALFIT, October 2, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli colonists and occupation forces have continued attacking Palestinian farmers across several towns and villages in Salfit governorate in the central West Bank since this morning, preventing them from reaching their agricultural lands and harvesting olives during the olive-picking season.

Local sources told WAFA that colonists and Israeli forces prevented farmers from harvesting olives in the western area of Deir Istiya town, while forcing farmers to leave their lands in the towns of Farkha and Haris.

The sources added that Israeli forces detained three farmers from Haris while they were picking olives on their lands near the main road.

The attacks come amid escalating violations by Israeli colonists against Palestinian farmers across the occupied territory during the olive harvest season.
