RAMALLAH, Tuesday, June 25, 2024 (WAFA) - The overall Producer Price Index (PPI) for Palestine with its base year (2019 = 100) reached 134.41 in May 2024, as it decreased by 3.30% compared to April 2024, according to a report by Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS).
Producer Price Index for locally consumed products (2019 = 100) reached 137.02 in May 2024, which indicates a sharp decrease of 3.41% compared to April 2024.
Producer Price Index for local exported products (2019 = 100) reached 110.03 in May 2024, which indicates a decrease of 2.08% compared to April 2024.
The changes of PPI for May 2024 were traced back to changes in prices of the following major activities compared to the previous month:
