38 civilians killed in a series of Israeli attacks on Gaza City

GAZA, Saturday, June 22, 2024 (WAFA) At least 38 civilians were killed and dozens more injured, with several people reported missing, following a series of airstrikes this afternoon by the Israeli occupation forces on various neighborhoods in Gaza City.

WAFA correspondent, citing medical sources at Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City, reported that the Israeli army targeted four neighborhoods since early this morning: Al-Shati refugee camp, Al-Tuffah, Al-Shujaiya, and Al-Zaytoun.

This onslaught has resulted in the death toll rising to 38, with 14 individuals still missing under the rubble of homes and buildings destroyed by the airstrikes. Additionally, around 50 people have been injured, several of them in critical condition.

The airstrikes mark one of the deadliest Israeli escalations in recent weeks. Rescue operations are underway to search for survivors amidst the rubble of the targeted areas.

The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 7th of last year has so far resulted in 37,551 documented Palestinian casualties, with 85,911 injured, the majority of whom are children and women.
