GAZA, Saturday, June 8, 2024 (WAFA) - At least five civilians were killed late Friday night in Israeli airstrikes on the cities of Gaza and Rafah.

Local sources said Israeli warplanes shelled a civilian house in the Zeitoun neighborhood southeast of Gaza City, killing four civilians and injuring 10 others. The strikes caused extensive damage to the house and neighboring houses.

A civilian was also killed in an Israeli air raid targeting the homes of citizens, north of the city of Rafah, in the southern Strip.

Israeli drones also targeted a group of children while playing in the Zeitoun neighborhood, wounding several children.

According to medical sources, dozens of bodies are scattered on the roads in Rafah.

Medical crews reported their inability to reach many wounded people due to the continuing bombardment.

The Kuwaiti Specialized Hospital in Rafah also caught fire after being shelled by the occupation. The hospital was previously evacuated after going out of service.

Rescue teams were also able to recover the bodies of two people in the Brazil neighborhood in Rafah. The bodies were decomposed and remain unidentified.
