GAZA, Saturday, May 11, 2024 (WAFA) - At least 19 civilians, including children and women, were killed and several others injured this evening in a series of Israeli airstrikes on residential buildings in the city of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza, as well as the Sabra neighborhood in Gaza City.

Local sources reported that rescue and civil defense teams retrieved the bodies of nine martyrs and several wounded individuals, including a young girl, following the Israeli bombing of the Al-Louh family's home in the Deir al-Balah refugee camp by Israeli warplanes.

The sources further stated that the airstrike resulted in the destruction of the house and caused severe damage to the neighboring homes and properties.

Simultaneously, Israeli warplanes bombed a house belonging to the Ashram family in the Sabra neighborhood of Gaza City, resulting in the murder of at least 10 civilians.

Earlier today, health authorities in Gaza confirmed that the Palestinian death toll from the Israeli onslaught since October 7 has risen to 34,971 reported fatalities, with an additional 78,641 individuals sustaining injuries. The majority of the victims are women and children.

Meanwhile, ambulance and rescue teams are still unable to reach many casualties and dead bodies trapped under the rubble or scattered on roads across the war-torn enclave, as Israeli occupation forces continue to obstruct the movement of and ambulance and civil defense teams.
