Newspaper Review: Dailies highlight Palestinian administrative detainees postponing hunger strike

RAMALLAH, Sunday, June 18, 2023 (WAFA) – Palestinian Arabic-language dailies focused today on the decision of the Palestinian administrative detainees in Israel to postpone an open-ended hunger strike that was supposed to start today after the Israel Prison Service responded to some of their demands.

These are the main headlines:

Al-Hayat Al-Jadida:

- Central Committee of Fatah: Subjugating our people and resolving the conflict by the force of terrorism is just an illusion.

- Police spokesman: 17 murders and 35 deaths due to traffic accidents since the beginning of this year.

- A UN committee: Israel will try to formally annex the West Bank.

- Two young men were injured during Israeli military raids into Jenin and Askar refugee camp.
