RAMALLAH, Friday, June 16, 2023 (WAFA) – Weather today is mainly clear and relatively hot in daytime and fair in the early morning and night hours, particularly in the mountains, with a rise in temperature, which approaches 2°C above the seasonal average, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Light to moderate northwesterly to southwesterly wind blows in daytime and moderate to occasionally active southwesterly to northwesterly wind blows in the night. Sea waves are low in daytime and of medium height in the night.
Temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 29°C and a low of 22°C and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 28°C and a low of 21°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 39°C and a low of 29°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 29°C and a low of 24°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.
Saturday’s temperature is set to rise, approaching 6°C above the seasonal average and paving the way to hot to extremely hot and dry conditions.
Sunday’s temperature is set to plummet and become slightly unseasonably low, paving the way to partly cloudy and fair conditions mainly in the mountains in daytime and slightly cold conditions in the night.
Partly cloudy to clear and fair conditions continue to prevail on Monday with no significant change in temperature.
PMD warns people against being directly exposed to the sun for long period particularly from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and setting fire to dry grassy areas on Saturday.
