RAMALLAH, Wednesday, May 31, 2023 (WAFA) – Weather in Palestine today is partially cloudy to clear and mild with a slight rise in temperature, becoming around its annual average, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Wind is northwesterly, light to active at times. Sea waves are medium.

Temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 27°C and a low of 18°C, and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 26°C and a low of 17°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 37°C and a low of 24°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 28°C and a low of 21°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

Hot to dry conditions are expected to prevail on Thursday and Friday as the temperature is expected to significantly rise, becoming 8°C above the seasonal average.

Saturday’s weather is expected to be partially cloudy and relatively hot to hot with a significant drop in temperature while remaining 4°C above the seasonal average.

PMD warned people against direct exposure to the sunlight for long periods during the heat wave and setting fire to dry grass.
