RAMALLAH, Sunday, May 28, 2023 (WAFA) – Weather today in Palestine is cloudy and relatively warm with a drop in temperature, which remains 4°C above the seasonal average, with a high chance of rainfall starting at noon, to be accompanied by thunderstorms and hailfall at times, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Winds are southwesterly to southeasterly, moderate to active and dusty. Sea waves are low.
Temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 29°C and a low of 19°C, and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 28°C and a low of 18°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 38°C and a low of 25°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 30°C and a low of 21°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.
Temperature is set to further drop on Monday, paving the way to partly cloudy to cloudy skies and mild conditions in the daytime and mild to slightly cold conditions at night. The chance remains for sporadic torrential rainfall and thunderstorms with occasional hail.
No change in temperature is expected for Tuesday and Wednesday, with sunny skies and moderate conditions expected on both days.
PMD warned people against the formation of floods in valleys and low areas on Sunday and Monday, mainly in the south and east of the country, slippery roads, and low horizontal visibility.
