RAMALLAH, Wednesday, May 24, 2023 (WAFA) – Weather today in Palestine is clear with a significant drop in temperature, becoming around the seasonal average, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Winds are westerly to northwesterly, light to moderate, and sea waves are low to medium.
Temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 25°C and a low of 15°C, and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 24°C and a low of 14°C are expected. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 38°C and a low of 24°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 30°C and a low of 20°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.
Friday's weather is expected to be partially cloudy and mild as temperature rises, approaching 4°C above the seasonal average.
A significant rise in temperature is expected on Saturday, approaching 7°C above the seasonal average, as weather becomes partially cloudy and hot to very hot and dry.
Hot to very hot conditions continue on Sunday as temperature drops but remains 6°C above the seasonal average.
The PMD warned people on Saturday and Sunday against direct exposure to the sun for long periods, particularly during peak hours from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm, and setting fire to dry grassy areas.
