RAMALLAH, Monday, May 15, 2023 (WAFA) – Weather today in Palestine is partly cloudy to clear and relatively hot to hot with another rise in temperature to become 4°C above the seasonal average, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Winds are northwesterly to northeasterly and light to moderate. Sea waves are low.
Temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 29°C and a low of 19°C, and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 28°C and a low of 18°C are expected. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 36°C and a low of 24°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 27°C and a low of 20°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.
A sharp rise in temperature is expected again on Tuesday to become 7°C above the seasonal average, said the PMD. Dry and hot weather conditions are expected to prevail.
Temperature slightly drops on Wednesday but generally remains above the seasonal average by 4°C. Dry and hot weather conditions are expected to prevail.
Another drop in temperature is expected on Thursday, becoming around its annual average. Weather is expected to be partially cloudy and mild.
The PMD warned people against direct exposure to the sun for long period, particularly during peak hours from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm, and setting fire to dry grassy areas.
