RAMALLAH, Wednesday, May 10, 2023 (WAFA) – Partially cloudy to clear and relatively hot to hot conditions are expected today in Palestine with a rise in temperature, which becomes 3°C above the seasonal average, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Winds are northwesterly to northeasterly, moderate to active, and sea waves are medium.
Temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 28°C and a low of 18°C, and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 27°C and a low of 17°C are expected. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 36°C and a low of 23°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 29°C and a low of 20°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.
Another rise is expected on Thursday as temperature reaches 5°C above the seasonal average.
Friday's weather is expected to clear and relatively hot to hot and dry, while temperature is expected to drop, becoming 4°C above the seasonal average.
The PMD warned people against direct exposure to the sun for long period, particularly during peak hours from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm, and setting fire to dry grassy areas.
