JERUSALEM, Sunday, February 12, 2023 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces sealed off today the family house of Hussein Khaled Qaraqe, a Palestinian who was killed on Friday by Israeli police in the occupied Jerusalem neighborhood of Al-Tour.
WAFA correspondent said a large-scale Israeli police force raided the neighborhood last night and stormed the family house of Qaraqe before sealing it off.
The slain young man’s family had already left the home yesterday after being forced to do so by the Israeli occupation authorities, in a prelude for the punitive demolition of the home.
Qaraqe, 30, a father of two children, was killed by Israeli occupation forces on Friday while he was driving his vehicle in the neighborhood, allegedly after ramming his vehicle into a group of settlers at the junction, killing two of them and injuring five others.
Israeli occupation authorities have long been using the policy of punitive demolition of the family homes of Palestinians accused of carrying out attacks on Israelis, a policy that Israel does not apply to Israeli settlers who are involved in fatal attacks against Palestinians.
The policy has been widely condemned by human rights groups as a collective punishment and a war crime.
