NABLUS, Sunday, January 29, 2023 (WAFA) – Colonial Israeli settlers last night uprooted nearly 200 olive trees in the villages of Majdal Bani Fadel and Aqraba, near Nablus, and also destroyed crops in greenhouses in the village of Ein El-Beida, in the northern Jordan Valley region, according to local sources.
Salah Jaber, the mayor of Aqraba, told WAFA that a group of Israeli settlers uprooted and chopped off about 200 Palestinian-owned olive saplings in the village which belong to a Palestinian farmer from the nearby village of Majdal Bani Fadel.
He said the attack was carried out only a few hours after a terror attack by Israeli settlers in which six vehicles were set on fire in the village.
In the meantime, hardcore Israeli settlers destroyed crops inside Palestinian-owned greenhouses in the village of Ein El-Beida, in the northern Jordan Valley region.
He said the crops destroyed belong to two Palestinian farmers, Jamal Abu Ayda and Ibrahim Daraghmeh.
These army-guarded attacks are part of an ongoing wave of unabated settler violence encouraged by the new far-right Israeli government of Benjamin Netanyahu and with incitement from his ultranationalist cabinet ministers Itamar Ben-Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich.
