RAMALLAH, October 20, 2013 (WAFA) – The
ministry of foreign affairs, in a statement Sunday, strongly condemned settlers
ongoing attacks against Palestinians and their land, particularly their attacks
against Palestinian-owned olive trees.
It called on all countries, particularly
the International Quartet, to come out of its silence, not settle for condemning
such attacks, and to take the necessary practical measures to provide
protection to the Palestinian people based on the international law and Geneva
conventions.
It also called on The International
Olive Council (IOC) to promptly move in order to protect the olive trees from
settlers’ attacks and to provide protection and support to the Palestinian farmers
and their land.
It reiterated its calls to the Palestinian,
regional, and international organizations to document the Israeli ongoing
attacks against Palestinians to bring the cases before the international court.
