Suffocation Cases during Israeli Raid of Jenin Area

JENIN, June 27, 2013 (WAFA) – Dozens of Palestinians Thursday suffered from tear gas suffocation during an Israeli raid to several neighborhoods in the Jenin area, according to local and security sources.

They told WAFA that a large military force raided the Jenin area amid heavy firing of gas and acoustic bombs in addition to rubber coated steel bullets towards Palestinian residents, causing several suffocation cases among them, including a 70-year-old woman.

Forces also fired tear gas bombs near a hospital in the Jenin area, causing dozens of suffocation cases among residents and patients, who were transferred to the upper floors for treatment.

Forces also raided the houses of three released prisoners and interrogated them.
