RAMALLAH, June 23, 2013 (WAFA) – The three Palestinian dailies Sunday highlighted the win of Arab Idol Muhammad Assaf contestant and newly appointed Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah’s resignation.
Al-Ayyam printed a photo of Assaf with the Palestine flag
around his neck while singing a song after he was announced the winner. The
paper’s headline read, “Muhammad Assaf the rocket of Palestinian art ‘Arab
Idol’.”
Al-Quds reported on an expected presidential statement in
which the results of President Mahmoud Abbas and Hamdallah’s meeting will be
announced.
The headline read: “Talks between Abbas and Hamdallah are
positive.”
Al-Quds featured an Israeli report saying that an American
delegation visited E1 area to see if the construction in this area will get in
the way of the Palestinian contiguity.
