RAMALLAH, June
22, 2013 (WAFA) – The three Palestinian Arabic dailies Saturday highlighted
newly appointed Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah’s resignation which will be
decided on in a meeting with President Mahmoud Abbas on Saturday.
Al-Hayat
al-Jadida reported on an Israeli plan to construct underground tunnels that leads
straight to the Wailing Wall yard and highlighted the closing down of
al-Hakawati Palestinian National Theatre in Jerusalem for one week.
The three
dailies highlighted the weekly protests across the West Bank in which Israeli
soldiers as always suppressed the protestors and assaulted and arrested a
number of journalists.
Al-Ayyam
featured the Palestinian contestant in the famous singing show Arab Idol
Muhammad Assaf who sang one of the most famous Palestinian songs causing the
streets of all Palestinian cities and towns to vibrate with life, joy and
dancing.
Al-Quds
reported on the Israeli government approving the construction of about 900
settlement unites in Hebron while calling not to succumb to US efforts to rekindle
the peace process.
