RAMALLAH, June 14, 2012 (WAFA)- Ten District Commanders of the Palestinian Civil Police convened a two day meeting hosted by EUPOL COPPS, in Ramallah, said a press release.

This meeting is part of the EUPOL COPPS overall efforts to increase the presence and cooperation with the Palestinian police at district level and to improve and enhance the support to District Commanders in West Bank.

The participants included also the Chief of Police Assistant for the Northern Districts, members of his staff and EUPOL COPPS Police advisors.

 The meeting focused on cooperation between Police and Prosecutors, capacity building in criminal investigations, patrolling and training.

The newly created District Coordination Team in EUPOL COPPS will meet the District Commanders on a regular basis with the aim to identify needs and gaps and to assist and advise on matters of concern.
