RAMALLAH, June 6, 2012 (WAFA) - The overall quantity of industrial production index (IPI) in the Palestinian Territory increased by 10.46% in April compared to the previous month, a press release by the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) said on Wednesday.

IPI increased due to an increase by 57.73% in the water supply and electricity industry, which has a share of 14.85% of the total industry, as well as an increase by 45.70% in the mining and quarrying industry, which formed a share of 4.59% of the total industry.

In addition, manufacturing increased by 0.08% compared to the previous month, having a share of 80.56% from the total industry, added PCBS.
