RAMALLAH, April 18, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists set fire on Saturday evening to a house and a vehicle in the town of Turmus Ayya, northeast of Ramallah.
Local sources told WAFA that dozens of colonists attacked the town from its eastern side, setting fire to a residential home and a private vehicle. Unarmed residents confronted the attackers and forced them to withdraw. No injuries were reported.
In a related development, Israeli occupation forces raided several villages northeast of Ramallah. Local sources said the forces renewed their raid on the village of Al-Mughayyir and also stormed the nearby villages of Abu Falah and Kafr Malik, with no house raids or arrests reported.
According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, Israeli soldiers and colonists carried out a total of 1,819 attacks during March, reflecting a continued pattern of systematic violence against the Palestinian people, their land, and property.
The commission said Israeli forces carried out 1,322 of these attacks, while colonists carried out 497. The incidents were concentrated mainly in the governorates of Hebron with 321 attacks, Nablus with 315, Ramallah and al-Bireh Governorate with 292, and Jerusalem with 203, indicating the intensity of targeting in these areas.
