Palestinian Dies of Wounds Sustained in Israeli Airstrike

GAZA, June 4, 2012 (WAFA) – A Palestinian who was critically injured in an Israeli airstrike on Friday on Abasan, east of Khan Younis in the Gaza Strip, died of his wounds bringing the death toll of the airstrike to two, medical sources said Monday.

Saraqa Qdeih, 18, was injured when an Israeli warplane hit a three-wheel car with a rocket the day after a Palestinian fighter managed to cross the borders between Gaza and Israel and killed an Israeli soldier before he was shot dead.

Naji Qdeih was also injured in the airstrike and died of his wounds later on Friday, while another Palestinian also injured in the strike remains in hospital in critical condition.

The Popular Resistance Committee said the two Qdeihs killed in the airstrike were members of its military wing, Salah Eddin Brigades.

Meantime, Israeli F16 warplanes attacked several areas in the Gaza Strip early Monday, targeting and destroying a dairy factory in Gaza City with at least one missile. One Palestinian was injured in the attack.

The other strikes targeted agricultural land with no injuries reported.
