PARIS, May 31, 2012 (WAFA) - The United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) hosted on Wednesday at its Paris headquarters a two-day international meeting on the situation in the Israeli-occupied Palestinian territories, according to a UNESCO statement.
The meeting, organized by the Committee for the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People, discussed the role of youngsters and women in finding a solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
Groups of experts discussed the main problems affecting the Palestinian population in the economic, social and health fields, and also their training and opportunities to find a job.
The meeting ends on Friday with a discussion on the role of civil society in the peace process.
