RAMALLAH, May 27, 2012 (WAFA) – Al-Hayat al-Jadida’s front page headline quoted President Mahmoud Abbas in an exclusive interview saying that while the Palestinian Authority adopted a neutral position, regarding the Arab Spring, it condemns murdering and terrorizing civilians.
Abbas said that the Palestinian revolution was dragged into conflicts that affected the interests of the Palestinian people; “so we chose to remain silent and neutral regarding what happened in many Arab countries.”
Al-Quds front page story reported on extremist Jewish settlers setting fire to crops in four villages near Nablus.
The three papers printed photos of Palestinians during confrontations with Israeli soldiers, following the arsons of agricultural land in the village of Urif, near Nablus.
