QALQILYA, April 27, 2012 (WAFA) – A teenager was seriously injured Friday when hit in the head by a tear gas canister during the weekly anti-settlements protest in the Qalqilya area village of Kufr Qaddoum, according to witnesses.
They said Israeli soldiers fired tear gas at the protesters, who in addition to the Palestinians included international and Israeli activists, and one hit Wasim Burhum, 19, in the head causing serious injury. Others suffered from gas inhalation.
Burhum was transferred to Rafidya hospital in Nablus for treatment.
