NABLUS, April 26, 2012 (WAFA) – Jewish settlers Thursday attacked the village of Urif, south of Nablus, according to witnesses.
They said that around 12 settlers attacked the village’s outskirts for the second time in one week and clashed with Palestinians.
The army, which was present in the area, fired tear gas canisters at the Palestinians who were defending their village, causing suffocation among some residents.
This attack, along with a heavy presence of settlers in the Nablus area village, coincided with the day Israelis were celebrating the 64th anniversary of the establishment of the state of Israel according to the Hebrew calendar.
