JERUSALEM, March 14, 2012 (WAFA) – The European Union’s Political and Security Committee (PSC) concluded Wednesday a three day visit to the occupied Palestinian territory and Israel where members held meetings with senior officials, according to press release.

PSC members met with President Mahmoud Abbas in Ramallah as well as Israeli President Shimon Peres and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in West Jerusalem and discussed the Middle East peace process, regional developments, the situation on the ground and the security situation.

The PSC discussed the EU's role in the sectors of security and justice with the Office of the European Union Representative, EUPOL COPPS, EUBAM Rafah, the UK and the Netherlands at the Jericho Police Training Centre. 

A meeting with Prime Minister Salam Fayyad will take place next week in Brussels, said the release.
