RAMALLAH, February 23, 2012, (WAFA) – The French Development Agency pledged to support Palestinians and the Palestinian Authority by allocating 22 million euros to finance several development projects, a press release by Minister of Planning Ali Jarbawi’s office said Thursday.

Jirbawi and regional director of the French agency, Mary Perry Nicolette, discussed projects such as solving the problems of solid waste, wastewater and others that are already funded in addition to new projects that will be launched in 2013 and 2014.

Total French support to the Palestinian Authority reached 400 million euros from 2008 to 2011. Money went to support development projects, humanitarian relief projects and others in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, as well as direct support for the general budget of the Palestinians Authority.
