RAMALLAH, December 29, 2011 (WAFA) - The overall Construction Cost Index (CCI) reached 113.08 with a decrease of 0.32% in the West Bank in November 2011 compared to October 2011 (base month December 2007=100), according to a Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics(PCBS) press release.
The press release said changes in the Construction Cost Index for November 2011 are traced back to the changes in the cost of major construction inputs compared to October, such as iron and steel, which fell by 2.77% and tiles and panels from ceramic, which fell by 0.29%.
Equipment and electrical networking increased by 0.19%, ceramic products by 0.27% and cement products by 0.21%
The overall Road Cost Index (RCI) reached 111.90 with an increase of 0.34% in the West Bank in November 2011 compared to October 2011 (base month December 2008=100), the press release said.
The changes in the Road Cost Index for November 2011 are traced back to the changes in the cost of major road inputs compared to October, such as the increase in asphalt, bitumen mixture and its products by 1.82%, cement by 0.51% and cement products by 0.29%, while iron and steel decreased by 3.03% and road paints by 0.26%.
Moreover, the overall Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI) reached 107.63 with a decrease of 0.13% in the West Bank during November 2011 compared to October 2011 (base month January 2010=100).
The changes in the Water Networks Cost Index for November 2011 are traced back to the changes in the cost of major water networks inputs compared to October, such as water networks which increased by 0.36% and asphalt, bitumen mixture and its products which increased by 1.82%.
The overall Sewage Networks Cost Index (SNCI) reached 104.00 with an increase of 0.18% in the West Bank during November 2011 compared to October 2011 (base month January 2010=100).
The changes in the Sewage Networks Cost Index for November 2011 are traced back to changes in the cost of major sewage networks inputs compared to October, such as asphalt, bitumen mixture and its products which increased by 1.82%, fountains by 0.08% and administrative expenses by 0.22%.
