NAPLES, December 21, 2011 (WAFA) – The municipality of the Italian city of Naples decided Tuesday to deal with Palestinian institutions in Italy as those of a recognized state, according to a WAFA correspondent.
During a city council special session in solidarity with the Palestinian people, Mayor of Naples, Luigi de Magistris, stressed that the current Naples municipality will deal with Palestine and its institutions in Italy as those of a recognized state at every opportunity.
“Naples has traditionally supported the Palestinian people and former municipalities have taken leap measures in cooperation with Palestinian cities in the West Bank,” he said, adding that his municipality also decided to communicate directly with the cities of Nablus, Ramallah and Bethlehem.
