KONYA, December 20, 2011 (WAFA) – Mayor of the Turkish city of Konya, Tahir Akyürek, Tuesday gave President Mahmoud Abbas citizenship and named a park in the city after him.
In an official and popular celebration attended by Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmed Davutoglu, Abbas said a street in the West Bank city of Ramallah will be named after Konya, while awaiting the liberation of occupied Jerusalem, where a street will be named after the Turkish city.
