RAMALLAH, December 14, 2011 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Wednesday arrested Palestinian lawmaker Ayman Daraghmeh, member of the Legislative Council for Hamas Change and Reform Bloc, and took him to an unidentified location, according to local sources.
They said Israeli forces raided and ransacked Daraghmeh’s house in the West Bank city of Ramallah before arresting him.
Daraghmeh was imprisoned for more than 20 months on charges of “membership in a prohibited organization” and participating in Palestinian legislative elections; he was released about a year ago.
Daraghmeh is the 24th Palestinian lawmaker and the 21st of the Hamas legislative bloc to be imprisoned by Israel.
