Israel Prevents Director of Al-Aqsa Mosque from Entering Jerusalem

JERUSALEM, December 1, 2011 (WAFA) - The commander of the internal front in the Israeli army, Thursday issued an order, in which he prohibited Director of the Al-Aqsa Association Ali Abu Sheikha from entering the city of Jerusalem until the end of 2011.

Abu Sheikha, who found the military order in front of his house, located in the village of Ara inside Israel, said that, “ Such Israeli order will not prevent him from continuing his work in serving and supporting Al-Aqsa mosque and Jerusalem,” warning that Israel might attack the mosque or Jerusalem in the short term.

He added that the order included a map of Jerusalem marked with the places he is banned from entering.

“By the power vested in me by the state of Israel and in accordance with the 1945 emergency regulations and for the sake of the state security in order to achieve the public order, I issue these orders to prevent Abu Sheikha from entering or presenting in Jerusalem in accordance with the attached map, unless another order by me was issued or if he receives any order to appear before an investigation or for any legal procedure against him,” stated the order.

Abu Sheikha warned that the issuance of such a decision indicates that Israel will conduct an imminent attack on Al-Aqsa mosque and Jerusalem.

To be noted, Abu Sheikha was previously subjected to several trials and was banned from entering the mosque and Jerusalem for several times, all against the backdrop of his activities in supporting Al-Aqsa mosque.
