RAMALLAH, November 30, 2011 (WAFA) - Palestine News and Information Agency (WAFA) monitored incitement and racism against the Palestinians and Arabs published by the Israeli media between November 10 and 18.
Editor of the literary supplement in the religious newspaper, Makor Rishon, Yoav Shork published an article on Ynetnews website, claiming that settlements’ eviction in the West Bank is “immoral injustice” and the land, on which the settlements are constructed, doesn’t belong to Palestinians.
“The settlements being evicted weren’t built on Palestinian private land, on the contrary, they were built on depopulated rocky hills that are not prepared for construction, which doesn’t constitute any violation of any human or property rights,” Shork alleged.
He explained that all areas that weren’t registered as a state property in Judea and Samaria (West Bank) were automatically registered as “private land,” thus empty vast areas of land, which weren’t prepared for agriculture and development, became in a political judicial whim a “Palestinian private land.”
Israel Today newspaper published an extensive report by Nadav Sergey, instigating against Bedouin Arabs in Naqab and calling them “invaders.”
The report discussed the situation of the village of al-Araqib in Southern Israel, which has been demolished and depopulated 20 times so far by the Israeli police and army, claiming that the media falsified the truth of what happened by broadcasting images of wailing women, broken toys, cut trees and destroyed walls, thus damaging Israel’s image.
Sergey stressed that the western, and sometimes local, media described the state’s actions against Bedouins as “racist, discriminating, maltreating, house demolishing and land stealing,” overlooking the land exploitation by these Bedouin invaders as well as the tens of court eviction orders against them.
He added, “The invaders, or some of them, live in luxurious homes and hide their commercial goods in illegal structures in al- Araqib, evading housing tax, whereas media and international organizations portray these invaders as if they were kicked out of their houses. The story of al-Araqib is the story of almost 90 thousand Bedouins insisting to live in nomad Diaspora and ignoring court orders.”
Religious newspaper, Hamodia, published inciting articles written by both M. Shalom and Moshe Shenfield, in which they denounced statements of several atheist Jews and former Mossad directors, who considered the religious orientation in the Israeli community a “danger” to Israeli and incited against Palestinians in Israel.
Shalom condemned the alleged actions of an Arab Knesset party, which exploited thousands of shekels of the Knesset funds to grant recognition trophies for Israeli citizens, who broke the Israeli law and
boarded the pro-Palestinians ship ‘Marmara’ that attempted to sneak into Gaza, accusing the Knesset members of using Israelis’ money and giving it to Arab outlaws.
Shenfield denounced statements of Efraim Halevy, who warned of the religious orientation of the Israeli community, but didn’t say a word against the orientation of the Arab ultranationalists living in Israel.
He added, “the invaders, or some of them, live in luxurious homes and hide their commercial goods in illegal structures in al- Araqib, evading housing tax, whereas media and international organizations portray these invaders as if they were kicked out of their houses. The story of al-Araqib is the story of almost 90 thousand Bedouins insisting to live in nomad Diaspora and ignore court orders.”

Shalom and Moshe Shenfield, in which they denounced statements of several atheist Jews and former Mossad directors, who considered the religious orientation in the Israeli community a “danger” to Israel and incited against Palestinians in Israel.
Shenfield said, “Halevy doesn’t know about the Nakba celebrations Arab students hold in Haifa University. He doesn’t know about Arab instigators in mosques and the inciting Knesset members Ahmed al-Tibi and Hanin Zoubi.”
Calev Myers, legal consultant in Jerusalem Institute for Justice, published an article on NRG website to justify boycotting the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) after voting in favor of Palestine as a full member, accusing the UN body of following anti-Israel and anti-Semitic policies.
“UNESCO cut aid to Israel in 1974 because Israel insisted on preserving historical sites in Jerusalem through conducting excavation in Temple Mount. However, the organization ignored the destruction by the Islamic Waqaf in the same mountain in 1996, the desecration of Rachel Tomb, Joseph Tomb and the old temples in Gaza and Jericho.
As if that’s not enough, UNESCO falsely announced Rachel Tomb and the Ibrahimi mosque in Hebron as “Islamic mosques,” he added.
Myers instigated against the Palestinian Authority, accusing it of being an “extremist Islamic and dictatorial” that violates human rights and lacks separation of powers, a system to hold democratic elections, the rule of law, freedom of speech and press, religious freedom, as well as human rights.
“UNESCO dealing with PA as equal to the rest of the world is an open incitement against Israel. Every unilateral decision to recognize Palestine in its current status as a state is putting another nail in the coffin of human rights... PA has its own militants system and civil chaos,” he added.
Ynetnews website published an inciting article written by Odi Mensch, head of settlements council, who claimed that the resignation of the senior White House official, Dennis Ross, is a step to change the peace process and that the solution lies in establishing a Palestinian state in Jordan.
Ross’ policy, with the help of Shimon Peres, created a new Middle East and gave millions of dollars to the regimes in Egypt, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and most importantly to Palestinian Presidents, Yasser Arafat and Mahmoud Abbas, only to clarify that there’s no Islamic moderation, saying “all Arab nations hate Israel.”
Mensch added, “The idea of two states, which Palestinians tried to impose at UN in September, died. It’s the time to change our direction and keep sovereignty and security under Israeli control. We can’t have another state between Jordan and the Mediterranean…the real Palestinian state will be in Jordan and will include the Arabs in Judea and Samaria (West Bank).”
Izzie Lieber published an inciting article against Abbas in Israel Today newspaper, in which she lashed out against Abbas and claimed that there is not one Palestinian leader working for peace.
“Abbas’ PhD thesis denied the Holocaust. He refused to recognize Israel as a Jewish state, and insisted that the ‘occupation’ has started in 1948. He even denied any relation between the Jewish people and Jerusalem!” she said.
Furthermore, she accused Abbas of honoring terrorists and paying monthly payments to their families, working towards a Jewish-free Palestinian state, committing to Hamas, the organization which calls to kill all Jews and eliminate Israel, as well as heading PA that intentionally incites against Israel through its education system, media and mosques, and promotes anti-Semitism.
NFC website published an instigating article by Yehuda Drori, who criticized the Israeli left wing’s opposition to the settlements in the West Bank, and indirectly called to expel Palestinians living in Israel.
Drori wondered “Why Israel allows more than one million and quarter Arabs to live in a Jewish state while Abbas says the future Palestinian state will be Jewish-free?”
“Why doesn’t the Israeli left wing say one word about the Bedouin barbaric settlements in Naqab?” added Drori.
Ynetnews published news featuring a request from Knesset Member of Likud party, Yariv Levin, demanding the Israeli Minister of Defense, Ehud Barak, to prevent Arab Knesset Member Ahmad al-Tibi from entering Ramallah, a city in the West Bank, to participate in the PLO’s commemoration ceremonies on the seventh anniversary of Arafat’s death.
Levin demanded Barak to prevent al-Tibi from entering PA-controlled area A, which Israelis are required to have special permit to enter, saying “Al-Tibi once again attempts to exploit his privileges as a Knesset member to play a major role in the festival of terrorism against Israel and its citizens...This is treason!”
The news piece also quoted Knesset Member, Danny Danon, who instigated against al-Tibi, saying “He is the fifth column in the Knesset. His support to Arafat’s policy is inciting terrorism,” and demanded to permanently oust him from the Knesset because he “belongs in a parliament in Ramallah.”
