RAMALLAH, August 25, 2011 (WAFA) - The overall Producer Price Index (PPI) in the Palestinian Territory (base month = January 2011) reached 97.84 in July 2011, an increase of 1.63% compared to June, according to the Palestinian Bureau of Statistics.
PPI for exported products reached 99.40 in July 2011, an increase by 0.48% compared to June. For local consumed products, PPI reached 97.68 in July 2011, an increase of 1.75% compared to June.
The changes in PPI for July are due to changes in the prices of the following major activities compared to the previous month: agriculture goods at +4.40%, fishing at +8.09%, mining and quarrying at –1.75% and manufacturing at +0.29%.
