RAMALLAH, August 15, 2011 (WAFA) – Israeli authorities Monday arrested a Palestinian prisoner’s wife and infant from Hebron, during visiting her husband in Ofer prison, near Ramallah, according to a report by the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club (PPC).
The report said that the Israeli Authorities arrested the prisoner’s wife and 18 months infant, under the pretext that she tried to smuggle a cell phone inside the prison.
The club condemned the arrest and called on rights groups to interfere to release the prisoner and her child; a hearing session was set on Tuesday to consider the request to release them.
