RAMALLAH, August 15, 2011 (WAFA) - Nabil Abu Rudeineh, spokesman for President Mahmoud Abbas, Monday called on the Syrian authorities to take measures to protect the lives of Palestinians living in the refugee camp situated in the El Ramel district and surrounding areas of the Syrian port city of Latakia.
He stressed the importance of protecting the camp from anything that might endanger the lives of refugees. He told WAFA, “Our policy does not interfere in the internal affairs of the Arab countries and the future of the regimes is in the hands of their peoples.”
