HEBRON, August 7, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists razed large swaths of Palestinian lands in the village of Birin, east of Yatta, south of Hebron, according to a local official.
Fareed Burqan, head of the Birin Village Council, said the colonists are bulldozing land in multiple directions in order to establish new colonial outposts and pave roads and farms for colonists under the protection of the occupation army.
He added that the bulldozing operations are close to residents' homes and threaten their existence and steadfastness on their lands. Burqan added, the village has also become encircled by illegal outposts , land seizures, and demolitions of homes, wells, and roads
Burqan affirmed that the occupation has seized approximately 7,200 dunams out of the village's total area of 8,000 dunams, raising concern among residents of forced displacement amid the lack of security and the continued attacks by colonists and the occupation army.
